hey there! i’m back to posting
irregularly, after taking the last few weeks to obsess over our little guy. thank you a zillion times over for all your well wishes here and on Facebook and Instagram. we welcomed Judah Eli Smith on September 18th at 5:12am. he’s a Virgo, he likes long walks in the Ergo carrier and early morning coos over breast milk.
i have SO much to share! from our crazy birth story to tales of breastfeeding to learning my mothering style. the past few weeks have been an unbelievable ride of overwhelming joy, extreme exhaustion, and constant discovery. now that i’m back, i promise to write about life and interests beyond motherhood, but prepare for lots of baby talk from this new MOMMA!
i hope you all have had a nice month and some change. what have you been up to? do tell! here are some shots from life in the Smith tribe these last few weeks:
Judah’s first inappropriate gesture. and before we even left hospital. so proud.our first time at a park with JuJu and my first time breastfeeding in public.early morning snuggles are my favorite. i think he’s about 2 weeks old here.
all white nap party. i can’t believe how quickly he grows. that onesie barely fits now!
just before we headed to Venice for a fun outing to celebrate JuJu’s 1 month bday.
trying out the car seat/stroller combo at a favorite walking spot. oh, how times have changed.
i’m such a sucker for double chin and back hair.
i’m still figuring out how much i want to share when it comes to pictures of Judah. so, that’s why it looks like we only like pictures of our kid if we’re in them or if they’re of the back of his head. but more on that, and so much more, later…
it’s good to be back!
i wrote this instead of finishing Judah’s birth announcement and getting it sent. i’m killin’ this mom shit.
